How can I stay informed about the tournament activities? To stay informed about all tournament activities, download the Below the Belt Sports app from your phone's app store. Create an account to receive important updates, including emergency notifications. Follow us on social media for real-time updates and announcements.
-
What registration software do you use?Below the Belt Sports has partnered with Demosphere for all of our registration and sports management processes. We recommend downloading the Demosphere app to stay in tune with scheduling during the tournament!
-
I don't live in the South, am I able to register?Oh but of course! It wouldn't be Southern hospitality if we didn't invite everyone into our home! While our organization is focused on bringing these LGBTQIA+ and ally events to the South, that doesn't mean everyone can't join in on the fun!
-
How do I register my team as a captain? Our registration system is a little different from others. Captains will use the "Team Registration" link for the specific sport they are registering a team form. They will fill out the required questions (team shirt color choices, captain and co-captain information, etc.). Once registered, they will be able to invite players to register for the team once player registration opens. There is also a team code that captains can find in their Demosphere account. Players can use that code to directly register to their team. No money is exchanged in the team registration process. **Please note, captains will additionally have to register as a player to be fully registered**
-
What is the difference between sports registration and events passes?Sports registration gets you on your designated team for two days of game play, along with entry into our exclusive events throughout the weekend. Events Pass registrations are for those who are not participating in game play, but want to enjoy the social events!
-
What is included in the sports registration fees? The registration fee includes a tournament t-shirt, and access to weekend events, including affinity mixers, nightly parties and the Sunday awards party.
-
What is your return/refund policy?Registration fees are nonrefundable after registration closes. If you are unable to participate due to unforeseen circumstances, please contact us at info@belowthebeltsports.org to discuss potential options.
-
Why does it ask my gender when I create a new account? Our registration system, similar to others, has a long code that has been built upon over time. Demosphere is actively working the requirements of selecting a gender when creating an account. For now, choose either - in our organizational account it will not show up.
-
What is the skill level of play? While this is a tournament, this is also a recreational event. Our teams range from highly skilled, to competitive, to fun (social). Some sports, such as kickball, will ask captains to rate their team’s skill level, which will be used for placement in appropriate divisions. Other sports will use pool play to determine seeding for the day-two bracket. Please visit the sports information page to learn more about the formats and skill levels for various sports. Keep in mind this is a new tournament, so teams may have to find their places.
-
Are there any uniform requirements?Yes. Players must wear their Below the Belt Cup shirts on Sunday. On Saturday, teams are encouraged to wear their own matching team shirts or their Below the Belt Cup shirts. All uniforms must be appropriate and adhere to the tournament's code of conduct.
-
Are there any age restrictions for the tournament?Participants must be at least 21 years old by or on October 4, 2025 to register for the Below the Belt Cup. Proof of age may be requested for insurance purposes.
