Morgan Roth
Executive Director & Co-Founder
Morgan Roth is a graduate of the University of Georgia. Raised in Atlanta, he has seen first hand how much this city has grown and developed over the years. His love of sports has brought him here, and inspired the creation of Below the Belt Sports to showcase the city and bring LGBTQIA sporting tournaments to the South. Over the years, he has worked on many national sporting tournaments. In his spare time, you can find him discovering new Atlanta spaces with his lab, Ranger.

Joey Terena
Secretary
Joey Terena, a Columbia Southern University graduate, is committed to expanding LGBTQIA+ sporting organizations in the South. With a solid academic background and a passion for fostering inclusivity, Joey is focused on advancing equitable opportunities and enhancing representation in sports.
Leveraging experience and expertise gained through their education and professional endeavors, Joey is dedicated to developing and supporting LGBTQIA+ sports initiatives. Their work aims to build strong partnerships, promote community engagement, and create welcoming environments where every athlete can thrive.

Chandler Roth
Communications Director & Co-Founder
Morgan’s brother. Not his husband. Just to be clear. Chandler has been an active participant in LGBTQIA+ sports since COVID. He is a seasoned Marketing and Communications professional, and has enjoyed bringing his expertise to this new venture!

Michel Morin
Financial Director
Michel Morin is a dedicated and compassionate volunteer with a passion for creating an inclusive community within the LGBTQIA+ sport community. As a transplant from the Great White North, Michel moved from Ottawa, Ontario to Atlanta in 2018 and has enjoyed watching the queer sports community grow and flourish as an inclusive space for all. Over the years he has worked with other LGBTQIA+ sport organizations and was thrilled with the opportunity to be part of launching a southern queer sports tournament. As a graduate from Western Governors University with a bachelor's in business management and accounting, he has a solid foundation when it comes to business. When not volunteering Michel enjoys spending time with his aussiedoodle Abby, biking the beltline, and is always seeking new ways to contribute to the community. Michel is excited to bring enthusiasm, commitment, and expertise to Below the Belt Sports and looks forward to supporting its mission in meaningful ways.

Paige Taylor
Sports Director
Paige Taylor is a proud resident of Atlanta, Georgia and has previously lived in both Colorado and Chicago. Sports have always been an integral part of her life, especially soccer, as she played for 18 years and ended her career playing collegiate soccer at Valdosta State University. In her role as Sports Director, Paige is dedicated to expanding LGBTQIA+ sports in the South, aiming to provide a safe and enjoyable sporting experience that fosters community connection. When she isn't working or playing kickball, Paige enjoys spending quality time with her wonderful partner, Audrey, and their Great Dane, Toly.

James Branche
Community Engagement Director
James Branche attended college in Upstate NY where he was born and raised. He moved to Atlanta in 2022 looking for a change of scenery and found a community. He has worked in the Human Resources field for over 15 year and currently is the HR Manager for a mid-size nationwide company. The importance of community and belonging is something James has seen and felt first hand through his employment, non-profit board service, the marching arts and most recently LGBTQIA+ sports. At the end of the day we all want to feel like we belong and he will work hard to help Below the Belt Sports give everyone that feeling.

Deshanta Johnson

Demo has played professional women's tackle football for IWFL and WFA. She has been playing kickball since 2015 for both women's and co-ed leagues. She has become a huge advocate for LGBTQIA sports and enthusiastically jumped at the opportunity to get involved with Below The Belt Sports.

Marketing Manager
Taylor Batie is a native of Orangeburg, South Carolina. From an early age, she has always been passionate about athletics and the realm of sports. This passion led to her pursue her B.S. in Exercise Science from Wake Forest University. After moving to Atlanta and joining Stonewall Sports, she was reminded of that love firsthand. Since joining her kickball team, she has become a huge advocate for LGBTQIA sports and enthusiastically jumped at the opportunity to get involved with Below The Belt Sports. In her free time, you can catch her training for her next race, traveling, or hanging with friends.

Meet Asjia, a passionate sports enthusiast and proud mommy of two beautiful girls. She thrives on the joy of family and friends, always finding time to cheer for and play on her favorite teams. With the motto, “Believe you can, and you’re halfway there,” Asjia inspires others to pursue their dreams while embracing the of an active lifestyle. She has become a huge advocate for LGBTQIA sports and enthusiastically jumped at the opportunity to get involved with Below The Belt Sports.

Originally from the North Georgia Mountains, Bryce has been around sports all his life. He is an attorney living and working in the great ATL! He is excited to bring a safe space for all to enjoy, all while trying to make up for all the fun he missed out on while studying throughout law school!

Ranger has been around sporting events for all his life. He loves to run around the kickball field and watch all of his friends play! He is excited for this new venture with Below the Belt Sports and making new friends!
